Walumarra Strong Families delivers the Leaving Violence Program, funded by the Department of Social Services, as part of a regional face-to-face trial running until 30 June 2026.

The Leaving Violence Program supports eligible victim-survivors to leave, or who are planning to leave a violent intimate partner relationship. The Leaving Violence Program commenced on 1 July 2025 through the National Program and 4 Regional Trials based in the Broome WA, Cairns QLD, Darwin NT and Dubbo NSW regions. The Leaving Violence Program Regional Trial delivered in Dubbo, by Walumarra Strong Families, provides in-person delivery and case planning, in addition to financial assistance.

The program is culturally safe and trauma-informed, supporting victim-survivors of intimate partner violence who are preparing to leave or have already left an abusive relationship.
